The Saar Loop

A highlight not to be missed!
Join us on a voyage of discovery through the Saar Loop to Dreisbach. Starting from Remich – the Pearl of the Moselle – this cruise offers a day of rest and relaxation as you pass sleepy villages, many beautiful vineyards, rolling hills and forests.
The voyage through the idyllic valleys of the Moselle and the Saar passes a number of interesting sights, such as Schloss Buschland in Remich; ‘Ski Nautique’ in Ehnen, where a number of water sports are on offer during the summer; the ‘Wormerkoeppchen’ Chapel in Wormeldange, which can be clearly seen on the bank of the Moselle; stone sculptures, such as ‘the Hand’ in the village of Nittel; the only freight port in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since the canalisation of the Moselle in 1964; the Palmberg nature reserve, which lies behind Ahn and where orchids and other exotic species flourish; the Igel Column; the lowest bridge on the Moselle; the historic town of Saarburg; several sets of locks and much, much more. At Wasserbillig we pass the lowest point in Luxembourg, at 130 m above sea level. At Konz, the Saar – the longest tributary of the Moselle at 235 km – flows into the Moselle. Here we leave the Moselle and head up the narrower valley, noted for its slate slopes and for the production of Riesling.
At 12:00 we will serve you a three-course lunch.
In Dreisbach a coach will be waiting to take you back to the departure point.
